• How can we as individual land and home owners best help? Do we have small actionable steps we can take to alleviate some of the ongoing concerns?

  • I am a new comer to the area but would like to know how I can support San Simon. I would love to help in what ways I can to return to some of its historic vibrancy.

• Why isn't the fire department/board following the law?

  • Open meeting laws violated and the overuse of executive session.

  • Meetings happening outside of board meetings and without notice to the public.

  • No accounting of inventory being maintained

  • Public records requests being delayed

• Would like to see Novak removed from the water board and removed as fire chief. Would also like to see the current fire board removed.

• There are serious concerns of taxpayer monies that are being mismanaged by the San Simon Fire District.

  • Purchases made without providing appropriate quotes - items purchased at (sometimes) 3 times the costs.

  • Other legal/meeting documents have been altered or reported inaccurately.

  • We have made complaints to authorities but they have fallen on deaf ears.

  • We cannot trust what the SS Fire Chief tells us. He had used threats and intimidation towards public members and had public meltdowns.

  • Why is SS (and now Bowie) subsidizing a private Wildland entity? It is costing taxpayers while providing equipment, gear, and paychecks for others outside of our District?

• Minutes and public concerns need to be reported truthfully.

  • SS needs to see a solid, workable plan towards a new firehouse as there are numerous health and safety concerns with the present one.

• At Bowie School district #14 there are 3 maintenance workers employed.

  • Why is the Superintendent spending time doing maintenance workers jobs?

  • Mostly they stand and watch Mr. Arkanoff do their jobs. If maintenance workers aren't able to do their jobs they are hired to do, then they should be dismissed, and capable workers employed.

  • New maintenance workers at Bowie schools

• Why was Marty terminated

  • When was this discussed in an open board meeting, if there was such a meeting, when we're the minutes posted, when was the meeting date and time posted?.

  • When is the position of Bowie fire chief posted? Why do we, the residents of Bowie have no input as to the choice. In my opinion, the candidates should be presented at a scheduled meeting, so each candidate can be interviewed in front of Bowie residents

  • Bank statements should be available to anyone that requests them, or any document , it's a matter of public record

    • Transparency, timely postings of fire board minutes, a five person board, review of present board members, as to their qualifications, or lack thereof.

• What is going to happen with the Bowie Fire District and what can we do about getting rid of the 2 members of the fire board, that have no interest in the community.

• How to get a grant to put in a back up well.

  • We need to get rid of the water company we are currently contracted with. Get the town water lines fixed, they are severely outdated.
